FC Barcelona’s academy - known as La Masia - has grown a worldwide reputation for turning young prospects into world-class talent. The likes of Dani Olmo, Sergio Busquets and one Lionel Messi all graduated from the club’s academy system.

Now, footage has emerged on social media of what the upcoming generation of La Masia stars are looking like, and the world better watch out.

The video, shared to Instagram by an account called The Secret Scout, shows under-15s players linking up for what fans have described as a “masterpiece” of a team goal, with Pedro and Toni Fernandez linking up for an unstoppable attacking play.

Commenting on the post, one user said: “They’re bringing back Barca 2008/09 days,” in reference to the tiki-taka style of football played by Barcelona in the late 2000s. Another commented: “It’s a masterpiece - what a great goal.”

A third user joked: “These guys are better than Manchester United.”
