Lately it’s been the 22-year old’s future that has been the main topic of discussion after the Parisian side rejected a transfer deadline day offer from Rel Madrid, with Mbappe now expected to run down his current deal and join Los Blancos on a free.

What did Kylian Mbappe say about Neymar?

TV Cameras picked up Mbappe looking displeased at his teammate in last months’ 2-0 Ligue 1 win over Montpelier.

Now, in a recent interview with noted French publication L’Equipe, the France forward has revealed he called Neymar a “bum” for not passing the ball to him.

He said: “Yes, I called Neymar ‘bum’ because I wasn’t happy with a pass.

“These are things which happen all the time in football.

“This happens because we want to win. That’s it - no issue.”

Is Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid?

Real Madrid made a new offer worth €200 million to Paris Saint-Germain for Mbappe but the French side rejected the offer.

Mbappe is still keen to joining the Spanish giants though, and is expected to let his current PSG contract run down before joining Real on a free transfer this summer.

The Frenchman, along with Neymar, make up a formidable attacking three at the club alongside all time great Lionel Messi, who PSG signed in the summer.

However, the Argentinian’s arrival hasn't swayed Mbappe’s desire to leave.

In the same interview where he confirmed the comments made to Neymar, the Frenchman said on Messi’s arrival: “I was not changing my mind because of Leo Messi’s arrival… it’s a privilege, he’s great but I don’t make decisions on sudden impulses.

“I had made my decisions and I had thought long and hard about it.

“What could make me stay at PSG? We’re far from it… since I wanted to leave Paris this summer.”

Mbappe’s current PSG deal expires at the end of this season.

With Mbappe making it clear he wants to join Real Madrid, it’s widely believed that the forward will join Los Blancos on a free transfer when his contract in France does expire meaning PSG will miss out on a transfer fee.

Mbappe said: “This season you will never see behaviour from me like ‘You guys didn’t let me go, I’m going to take it easy’

“I love football too much and I have too much respect for PSG, and for myself, to ease off even one match.”

Despite Real Madrid offering such a high fee in the summer, PSG sporting director Leonardo was on record saying he did not believe the fee matched Mbappe’s market value.
