Some of horse racing’s greatest names will be competing in this year’s Grand National in front of a worldwide television audience as they look to write their names into the history books.

Thousands of spectators have made their way to Merseyside over the course of the weekend - but the rest of us can rely on live broadcasts from a number of outlets.

Where can I watch the Grand National 2022?

Full coverage of this year’s Grand National can be viewed via ITV’s live broadcast.

Saturday’s coverage gets underway at 1pm with a running of the ‘Virtual Grand National’.

Coverage of the main event from Aintree begins at 2pm and runs until 6.15pm.

ITV is on Sky Channel 103 and Virgin Media Channel 113.

Are there any other channels broadcasting the Grand National?

It is also available through RacingTV on your TV, tablet, or mobile device.

Racing TV is on Sky Channel 426 and Virgin Media Channel 536.

Highlights tend to be screened on news bulletins as well as through ITV and Racing TV online platforms.

How many viewers are expected to watch the meeting?

A worldwide audience will be attracted as the greatest horse race in the world takes place this afternoon.

Over 150,000 spectators have made their way to Aintree for the three-day event - but anyone that does not have a ticket can watch from in front of their television screens.

A television audience of around 10 million viewers is expected to watch the main race in the UK and that number will be boosted to around 500 million with a worldwide audience taken in account.
