Both seemingly muttered insults to each other and an already tense atmosphere was given a bolt of lightning when Canelo laid his hands on Plant.
Canelo forcefully pushed Plant backwards before Plant threw a punch and Canelo responded with a shot of his own as security personnel flooded the stage.
