Just one week after France completed an incredible and well-deserved Grand Slam to achieve their ‘Grand Chelem’ at the Guinness Six Nations, the Women will take centre stage as their competition starts in just two days’ time.

For the first time ever, the Women’s Six Nations has a title sponsor. The social network giants TikTok signed a four-year partnership which will span the Women’s Six Nations, Guinness Six Nations and Autumn Nations Series.

After the announcement was made, the CEO of Six Nations Rugby Ben Morel said: “The significance of our partnership with TikTok cannot be understated.

“The very first Title Partner in the history of the Women’s Six Nations Championship as well as support for the Guinness Six Nations and Autumn Nations Series is something to be incredibly excited about.

“TikTok shares our ambitions for providing fans with the best possible experience and has the perfect platform for fans to access and engage with rugby throughout the year.

“Complementing this is the collective aim of giving the sport a global shop window to reach new and existing fans and put the likes of the Women’s game in front of more people.”

Not only is history being made with the new title sponsor, but the Women’s competition finally has its own window in the sporting calendar, separate from the Men’s and as such the tournament will be able to form its own identity away from the shadows of the Guinness Six Nations.

Whereas this partnership was once vital, it has now become a priority to run the tournament on its own, without the support of the Men’s tournament.

With only two days to go until it all kicks off, here is all you need to know ahead of the Women’s Six Nations tournament…
