Emily Willis update: Bedridden former porn star cannot speak but can make noises and 'move her body'
An update has emerged about a former porn star who has been left disabled after a cardiac arrest.
Emily Willis’s parents blame the rehab centre that was treating the 26-year-old for her disability.
She was admitted last year to Summit Malibu, a drug rehabilitation centre in Los Angeles. It has been reported that this was to treat a ketamine addiction but her family have disputed this, saying she was clean at the time. It has also been reported that she weighed just 100lbs (7st) and was anorexic.
Her family say that after she was found unconscious in February 2024, the centre’s “neglect” caused her to become disabled.

Speaking to the US Mirror, the family’s lawyer James A. Morris, Jr gave an update on Emily’s condition. She is being looked after by her mother.
He said: “She remains bedridden due to her neurological injuries.”
He confirmed that she is still cannot talk but can make noises and can "move her body somewhat."
The family’s case against Summit Malibu is due to be heard in Santa Monica on May 6 next year, and there will be interim hearings in February.

Emily is Argentinian, and was born Litzy Lara Banuelo.
Her mother Yesenia Cooper’s lawsuit against Summit Malibu and its parent company Malibu Lighthouse Treatment Centers accuses them of "abuse of a dependent adult, professional negligence, negligence and fraudulent business practices."
Summit Malibu has denied Yesenia's claims of neglect and has previously said Emily's mother has not explained what she means exactly by the abuse allegations. Court filings by the care centre have outlined that Emily refused medical advice during her stay, did not take medication and would not go to hospital.
The family’s case is that she was sufficiently vulnerable that she should not have been given a choice about her treatment, and should been given medical attention regardless of her wishes.
