Jabrill Peppers: NFL star and New England Patriots' safety arrested on charges of assault and drug possession
The American footballer, 29, was arrested on Saturday, October 5 in Massachusetts after police were called to a disturbance at a residential address in the early hours of the morning. The call to emergency services included details of an altercation between two people, with one person treated by paramedics at the scene.
According to Braintree Police Department, the New England Patriots safety will be charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation and possession of a class B drug. Peppers is alleged to have been in possession of cocaine at the time of his arrest.

Hide AdHe subsequently appeared at Quincy District Court for an arraignment hearing on Monday, October 7. Peppers entered a plea of not guilty for all charges.
In a statement, the New England Patriots said: “We are aware of an incident involving Jabrill Peppers over the weekend in which the police are currently investigating. We will have no further comment at this time.”
