The Masked Dancer is a brand new ITV series which sees celebrities dressed up in costumes busting out moves to be crowned champion, with judges trying to guess who is behind the mask.

It’s a spin-off from its popular sister show, The Masked Singer, which again sees celebrities dressed up behind masks, but they perform songs for the judges instead.

Two of the contestants will then compete in a dramatic dance-off, before the identity of the third incognito star is revealed.

The first episode of The Masked Dancer revealed Diversity star Jordan Banjo as the first celebrity to be unmasked.

Banjo, 28, was revealed as being the mystery celebrity who took to the stage as Viper in the first episode of the ITV series.

When asked what his thoughts on the panel were, he said: “I love the panel, I love that it’s not treated like some super serious dance show but as a fun, feel good guessing game.”

Addressing him being the first celebrity to leave the show, he said: “Of course, part of me was gutted but also relieved!”

The second episode then revealed former Eternal star Louise Redknapp as the Flamingo, after she performed a dance routine to Lady Marmalade.

Redknapp opened up about her decision to do the show in a subsequent exit interview, as she said: "After being in lockdown for so long, it felt like such a nice change to get out and not only dance, which is something I love, but keep fit and just thoroughly enjoy doing something fun."

The third episode revealed burlesque star Dita Von Teese as Beetroot, after finding herself in the dance-off with Knickerbocker Glory.
