'Celebrity Big Brother' returns to our screens on Monday (April 7) on ITV 1, and as we eagerly await the launch of the 2025 series, it's natural to start thinking about those who have been there before them.
'Big Brother', which is thought to be the ultimate social experiment by many, has been one of the UK's best loved reality TV shows for more than two decades. In that time, the show has made household names of some of its contestants, as well as allowed already famous faces to experience it for themselves with celebrity versions of the show.
Unfortunately, with such a long running show, it is somewhat inevitable that some of the previous stars have died since their stint on the show. Here, we take a look back at the life of 11 past Big Brother stars who are no longer with us.

9. Coolio
The rapper Coolio appeared in the 2009 series of Celebrity Big Brother and was arguably one of the show's most controversial housemates. He was accused of bullying and being a 'sex pest' by his fellow housemates. Ofcom received 527 complaints over claims he was ‘misogynistic' and 'sexist' towards singer Michelle Heaton. 10. Derek Acorah
Spiritual medium Derek Acorah was best known for his television work on "Most Haunted". He also took part in Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and finished in fourth place. 11. Paul Danan
Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan, who was a CBB housemate in 2017, died at the age of 46 in January. He died after consuming a cocktail of drugs which included heroin and cocaine, it was revealed during his inquest in March. Danan was known to TV fans as Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks. He appeared on the Channel 4 soap between 1997 and 2001, before later gaining recognition for his time on the first and second series of Love Island in 2005 and 2006. On the day of his death, the TV star had been scheduled to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court for a plea hearing, where he faced charges of driving a vehicle while unfit due to drugs and possession of cocaine. | John Phillips/Getty Images
