Brandi Glanville finally finds out that her facial parasite has been caused by 'completely ruptured' breast implants

Brandi Glanville has finally found out what has caused a facial parasite that has plagued her for years.

The reality TV star, who has been struggling with various health issues as a result of her facial parasite, discovered that her problems have been caused by her 'completely ruptured' breast implants.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, aged 53, shared her “shocking” diagnosis yesterday (February 18).

Talking about her breast implants, Glanville explained to TMZ: “Mine had completely ruptured, and I had silicone all over my lymph nodes. That’s what caused the infection in my face; it couldn't get out as my lymph nodes were all clogged,” she added.

The reality TV star further told the publication that she has finally got some answers after checking “everything else” and seeing “21 doctors” over the past almost three years.

She went on to say that she was shocked to discover that her breast implants were causing her damage because she’s had them for almost 20 years. “They looked fine, they felt fine, the mammogram said they were fine, it wasn’t until I had a sonogram," she said.

However, she admitted that breast implant should be changed every ten years but she “just didn’t do it”. She also said that her implants were removed “just recently." "I thought, if it's not broke don't fix it, but I learnt a really, really hard lesson,” she added.

She went on: “We’re taking care of the face now that we finally figured out what was wrong,” before explaining that she wouldn’t go under the knife again and was instead treating her face with “lasers and different things.” She also said she now feels “great”.

She also warned other people with breast implants to “keep on checking [them], even if they look good and feel good.”

In another video uploaded to her Instagram page, Glanville showed Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Ariel Ourian taking her breast implants out. In the video, Ourian said the ruptured implant was “pretty bad,” adding that there was “silicone all over the place. He then held up the gooey remains of the ruptured implant to the camera.

“It is torn. It is ripped. And this is actually much worse than I had expected,” he said, adding that he had to change his gloves mid-surgery due to the significant mess from the silicone.

Ourian successfully removed both implants, which were 18 years old, and replaced them with new implants that he said had less of a risk for rupturing in the future. He said he hopes Glanville’s overall health will now improve.

“Some patients get what’s called breast implant illness, and it can really affect multiple parts of the body,” he said. “So I think it’s really important to go in, get all of that ruptured silicone out.”

During a post-surgery appointment one week later, Glanville confirmed that she’s already noticing improvements in her symptoms. “I’ve been isolating for three years,” she said. “It's been hell. And now I want to live my life again. I’m ready.”

The TV star had been suffering with what was until now a mysterious health issue for almost two years, since summer 2023. She first noticed at that time that there was fluid under the skin on her face and it was swelling. For months and months, she’d since been trying to find ways to remove the parasite.

In April, she said she wants to 'get scalpel and cut face open'. Then, in August, she filmed herself with chemical burns on her face, which she said were a result of trying to remove the parasite by using hair removal cream.
