Mimi Hines dead at 91: Comedian and actress replaced Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl

Mimi Hines first made a name for herself alongside late actor-comic Phil Ford as part of the duo Ford and Hines.

Mimi Hines and Phil Ford not only had a professional relationship but a personal one too as the couple married in 1954. Thanks to an appearance on the Tonight Show back in 1958 when Mimi sang "Till There Was You" from Meredith Willson's The Music Man, which resulted in the host Jack Paar bursting into tears, Hines and Ford went on to become a sought after act.
