Reality TV star Annemarie Wiley has a tumour on her gallbladder and gallstones and will have surgery soon

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Annemarie Wiley has announced that she will need to have surgery as she has a tumour on one of her organs.

40-year-old Wiley, who appeared in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) for one season, told her fans about her health update in an Instagram video she uploaded yesterday (Sunday September 22). In it, she said she’s has to undergo surgery as doctors have discovered "a tumour" on her "gallbladder and gallstones."

She spoke directly in to the camera while appearing to walk on a treadmill and revealed: "The gallbladder will be coming out very soon." The NHS recommends surgery to remove the gallbladder if any problems are found with it, as it is not needed.

It is a small, pouch-like organ in the upper right part of your tummy which stores bile, a fluid produced by the liver that helps break down fatty foods.

The reality personality added that there was some good news, however. She said: "The surgeons were very concerned about there being tumours on my liver, so we had an MRI last week and the MRI did not show any visible tumours or anything anywhere else. So that was incredible news. Surgery is scheduled for very soon. “

She then went on, however, to say that doctors don’t know yet if the tumour is malignant or benign. She said: “Gallbladder will come out, they'll send it to pathology and slice it up, look at it under the microscope and then that's when we'll know if it is cancerous, malignant or non-cancerous benign. I'm super optimistic, the surgeons are super optimistic.”

The TV star, who revealed in March that she hadn't been asked back for season 14 of RHOBH, then urged followers to "prioritize" their mental health.

She also wrote a lengthy caption to accompany the video: "I can’t even begin to express how much your love and support mean to me. I’m feeling strong and optimistic that this journey will soon be behind me with a positive outcome. If sharing my experience encourages even one person to listen to their body and advocate for themselves, that brings me so much joy.”

Wiley, who shares four children with former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley, continued, "Guys, please prioritize your mental health and minimize stress - stress can do awful things to our bodies! Focus on what nourishes you: exercise, meditate, stay off social media when needed, and remove toxic situations and people from your life. Your health is your most valuable asset, so protect it fiercely."

She also promised to keep her 168,000 followers informed of her health. "I’ll keep you all updated. Thank you all for checking on me and lifting me up.”

The update comes around a month after Wiley said she had received some alarming news, but didn’t give any further details. On Monday August 19, she took to her Instagram and wrote: "I’m still processing everything, but I believe in the power of being open and transparent - especially when it comes to our health.”
