Lucy-Bleu Knight was found unconscious in a home by police after conducting a welfare check on her and it was recently revealed that her cause of death was suicide.

Meegan Hodges took to Instagram to pay tribute to her daughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, who died in Los Angeles on July 19. The Los Angeles County’s medical examiner made public its report on the case and said that the cause of her death was “hydrogen sulphide toxicity.”

On her Instagram, Meeghan Hodges shared photographs of her late daughter Lucy-Bleu Knight along with a photo to share that September is National Suicide Prevention Month. On 24 August, Meegan Hodges shared a photo to Instagram that appeared to be a card distributed at a memorial service to her daughter.

Meegan Hodges shared a caption with the photograph of her daughter, which read: Thank you for the outpouring love and condolences from everyone. You have touched all of our hearts as Lucy-Bleu has touched yours. She will forever be missed but never forgotten.

“It’s impossible to forget Lucy-Bleu with all the light and energy she had on this planet.

“I love you my baby girl.”

Following this post, Meegan Hodges was inundated with comments. One fan said: “I am so sorry for your loss I know what your going through my son is gone 2 yrs I cry everyday may your angel RIP she will always be with.” Another fan said: “I’m so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. The pain is unimaginable. You recommended the book Dying to Be Free. Thank you, I lost my beautiful daughter 7 tears ago. I’ve read so many books that made me feel worse than I already did. This book is incredible. Thank you. My heart goes out to you and all of those who love Lucy-Bleu.”

When Lucy-Bleu died, rock legend Slash said: “My heart is permanently fractured, I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are. The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally. #LBK.”

On 22 July, Slash shared the news that his stepdaughter Lucy Bleu Knight had died and said:  “Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.

“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming lovable, sweet soul.

“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

Before sharing the news of his stepdaughter’s death, Slash announced that he would be cancelling four shows on the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival 2024 tour. Slash started back on the tour on 28 July at the  Budweiser Stage in Toronto.
