Jannik Sinner beat Ben Shelton in their Australian Open quarter-final and will now face Novak Djokovic.
Jannik Sinner beat USA’s Ben Shelton 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in their quarter-final match in the Australian Open and will now face Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals. After his victory, Jannik Sinner said: “First of all it's very tough to play against Ben. He has a huge, huge serve and I feel like he's improving so much year after year. Especially after the off-season, you never know how certain players are going to play against you and [they can] change a lot of things.
"Very happy with my performance, thank you for the support, it's amazing to play here on this court."
When it comes to the prospect of playing Djokovic, Jannik Sinner said: “These are moments why you practise, you wake up in the morning and you look forward to play hopefully a good match. We are still lucky to have Novak here playing incredible tennis with his age. Hopefully it’s going to be a great battle.”

According to reports, tennis star Jannik Sinner has been dating model and influencer Laila Hasanovic since last summer. In June of last year, NationalWorld reported that the Jannik Sinner was linked to Russian model Lara Leito, the former partner of ex-partner of Hollywood star Adrien Brody.
However, Jannik Sinner seemed to dismiss the rumours and said: “There's a whole lot of attention, also off the court” and also said: “And I was also very surprised to see some pictures, which are nothing serious.

When it comes to previous romantic relationships, Jannik Sinner was reportedly in a relationship with fellow tennis star Anna Kalinskaya, the couple are believed to have started dating in April 2024 but are believed to have ‘taken a break’ in November of the same year.
