Although A-list celebrities can basically throw a party wherever and whenever they want, it would seem that London still is their favourite city when it comes to celebrating a birthday. When it came to Sir Mick Jagger’s recent 80th birthday celebration, he decided to hold it at the Embargo Republica nightclub, which is situated on London’s King Road.

On Embargo Republica’s website, the club is described as a “Cuban backdrop with exposed brickwork and timber, graffiti splashed on whitewashed walls, jazz club ceiling fans and eclectic vintage furniture.” Celebrities who were in attendance at Sir Mick’s 80th birthday bash included his ex Jerry Hall, actress Angelina Huston, his current girlfriend, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and his wife Sally Wood, as well as Leonardo DiCaprio (surely an honorary London boy?).

In case you missed it, Stormzy recently celebrated his 30th birthday in style at the swanky hotel, The Biltmore Mayfair. The rapper was joined by the likes of Alesha Dixon, Danny Dyer, Alison Hammond and Jonathan Ross. According to reports, guests were able to indulge in both a three-course dinner and roulette. Stormzy made sure he dressed for the occasion and wore a Lanvin suit with Tiffany & Co accessories.

Now, if you are the offspring of Victoria and David Beckham, you are likely not to be satisfied with a small gathering at home. Although it wasn’t Harper Beckham’s 12th birthday until July, the family celebrated early at the Prada Caffè in May. Victoria shared a photograph of Harper at the venue and captioned the photograph, “Harper Seven is 12!!!(almost) @Prada party for Harper Seven” followed by heart emojis.

It is not all about swanky venues for A-list stars. 50 Cent was seen enjoying a belated birthday celebration at The Village, a Somalian restaurant on Fulham Palace Road in Hammersmith. Friends at the event included Dr Dre.

Another hotspot that doesn’t seem to be out of fashion is Camden’s KOKO. Sienna Miller was spotted there last year. Prince William was seen there recently partying with Guy Pelly (also a friend of Prince Harry) and the venue recently played host to Take That’s War Child performance.

If you need further inspiration on where to spot your favourite star in London, why not pay a visit to The Chiltern Firehouse, another celeb hangout? The Chiltern Firehouse, which is situated in Marylebone, attracts the likes of Kate Moss, Tom Cruise, Kylie Minogue and Chris Martin (and that is to name but a few).

For those of you who are like to keep up with both celebrities and the royals, Oswald’s, a private members club, has seen Beyonce, Jay-Z, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugine and husband Jack Brooksbank, and Zara and Mike Tindall, frequent the venue in recent months.
