Killing Eve concludes this February with its fourth and final series.

The cat-and-mouse spy thriller has, like much of its genre, been characterised by interesting locales and impressive vistas – as you’d expect of a globetrotting adventure about an international cabal of spies and assassins.

Here’s everything you need to know about where Series 4 of Killing Eve was filmed, ahead of the final series beginning in the UK on Monday 28 February.

Where did Killing Eve film in the UK?

Filming for Killing Eve series 4 took around six months, with production beginning on 7 June 2021 and ending on 6 November 2021.

Stars Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh have been spotted filming around the UK, in particular in Kent and Margate. It’s likely that Kent and Margate are the scene of Villanelle’s new parish: series 4 sees the glamorous assassin joining a local church and grappling with faith and religion (and, of course, starting a relationship with the vicar’s daughter).

The series has also once again filmed extensively in London, specifically near Tower Bridge, Paddington, and Westminster. It picks up from the Series 3 conclusion, which saw Eve and Villanelle having a final confrontation in Tower Bridge then agreeing to walk away from one another, seemingly forever.

That aforementioned June 2021 shoot was heavily delayed, however: production company Sid Gentle films had originally been set to film Killing Eve series 4 in August 2020. The pandemic left their planned European shooting schedule in tatters, however, and the series was delayed indefinitely.

While it’s difficult to say exactly where Series 4 of Killing Eve was filmed prior to release, given that detailed information isn’t really out there yet, it looks like plans for different international filming locations were scaled back considerably.

Where were previous series of Killing Eve filmed?

The very first scenes shot for Killing Eve series 1 took place in Tuscany. Much of the series was filmed in and across Europe, with further shooting locations including Paris, Berlin, and Bucharest.

Several scenes were shot across the UK in Cheshunt, Turville, and London, at times doubling for other locations; for example, one memorable scene in series 1 that saw Villanelle kill someone in a Berlin nightclub was in fact shot in fabric in London.

Series 3 filmed extensively in Romania, in particular the village communes Viscri and Comandău; a number of scenes were also filmed in and around Barcelona, which is where Villanelle was living at the beginning of the series.
