The lineup for Great British Bake Off 2022 has been revealed by Channel 4.
The latest season will see 12 contestants battle it out over 10 weeks to win the grand prize of Ultimate Star Baker.

Who are the the GBBO contestants for 2022?
Channel 4 announced the identity of the 12 new contestants on social media.
The post included a short video, which shows a picture of the new squad, alongside animated arrows pointing out who was who.
Here are the contestants for Great British Bake Off 2022:
Abdul, 29
Electronics engineer Adbul hails from London.

Hide AdThe 29-year-old started to get into baking after he and his graduate colleagues started baking treats to cheer them up on their lunch break.
Abdul is a fan of salsa dancing and spices, with match being one of his favourite flavours.
Carole, 59
Supermarket cashier Carole hails from Dorset.
Her passions include gardening and horticulture, with Carole even having her own gardening radio show, called Compost Carole.
The 59-year-old’s baking journey began after she made a birthday cake for her granddaughter Maisie.

Hide AdSince then, she has self-taught herself baking skills on YouTube.
Carole’s favourite flavours are fruity and punchy.
Dawn, 60
IT Manager Dawn hails from Bedfordshire.
The 60-year-old is a mother of three, step-mother of two, and granmother/step-grandmother of four.
Dawn enjoys decorating cakes with quirky and intricate designs and loves the challenge of an illusion cake.
Her favourite flavours are lemon, salted caramel and nutty treats.
James, 25
James is a nuclear scientist who hails from Cumbria.

Hide AdThe 25-year-old grew up in Glasgow and wears his kilt with pride.
He got into baking due to his love of the technical aspects, and his signature style is “child-friendly horror”.
James’ favourite flavours are autumnal, like mixed spice, apples and caramel.
Janusz, 34
Janusz is a personal assistant who hails from East Sussex.
Originally from Poland, his baking style is described as “colourful and camp”.

Hide AdThe 34-year-old pays homage to his Polish heritage by adding Polish ingredients and spices to his bakes.
He got into baking through his mother, who would bake with him every Saturday, a tradition Janusz continued when he moved to England.
Janusz’s favourite flavours are ginger and chocolate.
Kevin, 33
Kevin is a music teacher who hails from Lanarkshire.
The 33-year-old also performs as a saxophonist, and has mastered the flute, piano and clarinet.
Kevin’s signature is using seasonal ingredients and isn’t too fussed on presentation.

Maisam, 18
Maisam is a student and sales assistant who hails from Manchester.
Origainally from Libya, she has been baking up a storm in the kitchen since she was 13.
The youngest contestant of the series, she speaks an impressive five languages and her favourite hobby is still life photography.

Hide AdMaisam uses inspiration from her Mediterranean heritage, with her favourite flavours being olives, dates and sesame seeds.
Maxy, 29
Maxy is an architectural assistant based in London.
The 29-year-old is originally from Sweden and got into baking five years ago.
Her signature is celebration cakes, which are enjoyed by her two daughters.
Maxy uses influence from her Scandinavian upbringing, her favourite flavours include cinnamon and saffron.
Rebs, 23

Hide AdRebs is a masters student from County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
The 23-year-old grew up in the countryside and can Irish dance and play the tin whistle.
She got into baking as a way to relax and unwind after working in the tech field.
Rebs has recently started using Middle Eastern ingredients to reflect her boyfriend’s Turkish heritage.
Sandro, 30
Sandro is a nanny based in London.

Hide AdThe 30-year-old fled the Angolan war with his family when he was two-years-old.
When he was 21, Sandro’s father passed away so he turned to baking as a form of therapy.
His other hobbies include boxing and he has a background in ballet and breakdance.
When he’s not cooking in the kitchen, he’s running virtual baking classes for kids with autism.

Syabira, 32
Syabira is a cardiovascular research associate from London.
The 32-year-old was born in Malaysia and has six brothers and sisters.
She began baking in 2017, which her first project being a red velvet cake.
Her signature is baking British classics with a Malaysian twists, with her chicken rendang Cornish pasties, a firm favourite.
Will, 45

Hide AdThe final contestant for GBBO is Will, who is a former charity director from London.
The 45-year-old has been a passionate baker throughout his life, loving the technical aspect.
His other hobbies include DIY and carpentry which give a nod to his architecture background.
