Here’s everything you need to know about After Life.

What is After Life about?

After Life follows Tony (Ricky Gervais), a man who has given up on life after his wife’s death – and decides as a result to be extremely rude to everyone he meets.

Season 3 shows Tony realising that, actually, it’s good to care about people, so he’s going to start doing that instead (while still also swearing at people in service and hospitality jobs).

Who is in the cast of After Life?

Ricky Gervais stars as Tony, a local journalist grieving the death of his wife. You’ll know Gervais from projects like The Office, Extras, or Derek, or perhaps from his standup specials. You can find a ranked list of all of his TV shows and films here.

Kerry Godliman will also make appearances as Lisa, Tony’s wife, who recorded video diary advice for Tony before she died. Godliman can soon be seen in ITV’s Trigger Point as a forensics expert on a bomb disposal team.

They’re joined by Diane Morgan (Mandy, Death to 2021), Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey), and Joe Wilkinson (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) amongst others.

Where can I see the trailer for After Life?

When can I watch After Life?

After Life Season 3 will be available to stream on Netflix on January 14.

Is this the final series of After Life?

Yes, the third season of After Life will also be its final season.

Ricky Gervais has two more projects in development at Netflix currently, so it likely won’t be long before he’s back on your screens.
