Love Island star Mary Bedford has revealed she was involved in a horrific car crash that left her ‘cut and bruised’.
The 23-year-old, who appeared on the seventh series of the ITV dating show, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the incident with her 892,000 followers.

She said the crash had left her “shaken up” and admitted she felt “so grateful” to have made it back home.
Mary shared a picture of the damaged Range Rover Velar, which she purchased last year for around £50,000 after saying it was her dream car.

The driver’s side of the vehicle was badly damaged, and the airbag had also been activated.
In a caption, she wrote: “Someone must have been looking down on me today… very shaken up, cut and bruised but so grateful to be back home tonight.”

The influencer and model, who was born in Wakefield and lives in Leeds, entered the Love Island villa as a Casa Amor girl during the 2021 series.
She initially coupled up with original islander Toby before he had a change of heart and returned to his previous partner Chloe Burrows.

Mary then coupled up with islander Aaron Simpson, but the pair received the lowest number of votes from the public and were sent home days before the final.
The pair failed to make things work on the outside and are now just friends.

Speaking about their split during an Instagram Q and A, Mary said: “Coming out of the villa and finding out the news about my grandma completely threw me, I’ve never lost anyone close to me, so it has been really hard, to be honest…
“As a result of this, my head is all over the place, and all I knew is I wanted to be back home surrounded by my loved ones.”
She continued: “Aaron is an amazing person who has been supportive about everything since we left the show, but, right now, there’s no pressure on us.
“I will always be so grateful we met as he’s a massive part of my Love Island journey, but I’m focusing on getting my head back in the right headspace, which is why I haven’t been crazy active since coming out.”

She was previously rumoured to be tied with ex-Love Islander Chris Hughes after photos of them in a restaurant emerged following his split from Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, 30, in August 2020.
