The EcoFlow bundle includes two 400W solar panels and a microinverter, giving early adopters everything they need to prepare for plug-in solar becoming legal in Britain.
A plug-in solar system that could soon become a common sight in homes across the UK has been reduced in price by £150.
The government has announced plug-in solar will become legal in Britain for the first time from August 27, but plug and play kits that save money by harnessing solar energy are on sale already.
Among the more popular products is a setup from EcoFlow, which offers everything you need to harvest up to 800 watts - the legal limit - from the sun.
The £349.99 bundle usually costs £499.99, but there is a sale on the EcoFlow website, offering a £150 discount.
The bundle includes two 400w solar panels and a microinverter - the processing box that converts solar energy into household power.
Right now, customers can either wait until August 27 before they can connect it to a three-pin plug, or recruit an electrician to wire it in.
But, once connected, these systems can save up to £115 per year, depending on weather conditions and solar efficiency.
The microinverter is also available separately, with retailers such as Amazon and Argos offering it for £129, which is ideal for anyone who already has a solar panel.
Some households might need to budget for longer solar cables than the ones supplied and accessories such as smart plugs or mounting kits are sold separately.
The UK specification, which is changing to align the country with Europe, currently does not allow for battery storage to be coupled with the microinverters, although battery systems are available that can be wired in professionally.
Major UK retailers are poised to start selling plug-in solar kits, and Currys, Lidl, Amazon, and B&Q are among the outlets known to be getting ready to add them to their shelves after the legislation changes.
But in the meantime, early adopters can buy cheap kits, install their solar panels and cabling, and be ready for the green light at the end of August.
