When is the US Open 2021?

In 2021, the tennis US Open takes place between 30 August and 12 September.

A host of elite tennis players from around the world compete in the tournament every year - from Novak Djokovic to Andy Murray and Ash Barty to Naomi Osaka.

This year, rising British tennis star Emma Raducanu has been the story of US Open - working her way through qualifying to reach the women’s final of the Grand Slam.

The US Open is held at Flushing Meadows in New York and is one of four Grand Slams on the circuit alongside the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon Championships.

How can I watch the US Open 2021 on TV?

Tennis fans will be able to watch live coverage of tonight’s US Open tennis final on Channel 4 after the broadcaster secured a last-minute deal to share the broadcast with Amazon Prime Video.

Coverage will start at 8pm.

Viewers in the UK can also watch the match through Amazon Prime Video itself.

Can the US Open 2021 be live streamed?

Amazon Prime Video customers have the option of streaming the US Open through the app or watching on the website.

The app is available on most Smart TVs or can be downloaded on digital devices such as smartphones and tablets to watch.

US Open 2021 women’s final highlights

Emma Raducanu will play fellow teen Leylah Fernandez in the women’s final of the US Open 2021.

The match will be screened live through Amazon Prime Video with video clip highlights available on the BBC Sport website and app after the conclusion of the final.

The BBC will also show highlights of the US Open 2021 women’s final in an hour long programme on the afternoon of Sunday 12 September. The highlights programme will also be available through iPlayer.

US Open 2021 schedule

Two weeks of US Open tennis action has begun.

Following the qualification days, the first rounds of the men’s and women’s draws took place across Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 August.

The first, second, third and round of 16 matches are played in week one of the US Open before the quarter finals kick in from Tuesday 7 September.

Further quarter finals in the doubles and wheelchair tennis continue throughout week two before the finals over the weekend of Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September.
