Dani Dyer was forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 due to an ankle injury.
After being forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 due to an ankle injury during training, Dani Dyer, the former Love Island star is returning for the new series. At the time the Instagram account for Strictly wrote: “Unfortunately due to an injury Dani Dyer is no longer able to compete in #Strictly 2025. She’ll be sorely missed and we wish her a speedy recovery ❤️.”
At the time, Dani Dyer said: “I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny.
“I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.
“Apparently doing the Quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I’ve had to pull out of the show.
“To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikkita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.”
West End star and former Love Island winner Amber Davies stepped in to replace Dani Dyer who made it to the final of Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Amber Davies said at the time that “This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life.”

Amber Davies also said: “I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true. I’m going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud.”
In May 2026 it was announced that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe were the new presenters of Strictly Come Dancing after the departure of hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

Will Jarrod Bowen stay at West Ham or move to another London club?
Following West Ham’s relegation, there was speculation whether Jarrod Bowen would stay on at the club in the championship or move to another Premier League club. Two weeks ago, he took to Instagram and wrote: “It’s hard to post something like this when all you’re feeling is embarrassment and pain.
“I could write loads trying to explain where it all went wrong this season, but honestly what you deserve from me is an apology.
“Winning that trophy in Prague was the best night of my career. Sunday was the worst.
“We just weren’t good enough. Simple as that. And that’s why the season ended the way it did.
“To the fans, you didn’t let us down once. The support home and away never changed, even when things weren’t good enough from us on the pitch. We should have given you more. You deserved more.
“One thing I know about this club is that it has the desire and fight to bounce back from this. This club belongs in the Premier League and deserves to be back there as soon as possible.”
Jarrod Bowen married Dani Dyer on May 31, 2025 and the couple share twins Summer and Star, Dani Dyer is also mum to son Santiago from a relationship with Sammy Kimmence.
It will be interesting to see now that Dani Dyer has committed to Strictly Come Dancing whether Jarrod Bowen will stay on at West Ham or move to another London club. There was speculation that Manchester United were interested in him, but this could be unlikely considering his wife’s latest career move.
There are rumours that Tottenham Hotspur could be linked with a controversal move for Jarrod Bowen but this has not been confirmed.
