Pop music fans were thrilled when S Club 7 announced that they were reuniting to celebrate 25 years since they first formed.
The seven piece, made up of Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt and Rachel Stevens, were famous for hits such as Reach, Don’t Stop Movin’, Never Had a Dream Come True and S Club Party. They will go on a special tour of the UK in October to commemorate their milestone anniversary, treating fans to performances of popular songs from their back catalogue.

5. Five
The boyband Five were one of the most popular bands of the ‘90s and it was made up of members Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson, Abz Love and Jason "J" Brown. They first formed in 1997 but split in 2001. They have already reunited twice; firstly back in 2006, but they disbanded again a year later, and secondly in 2012. Brown originally said he would take part, but then changed his mind. The other four members of Five decided to go ahead with the reformation and were featured in the ITV2 series The Big Reunion, which aired in early 2013. The band went on a comeback tour across UK and Ireland later the same year before Love then left the band in 2014. The remaining three members have stayed together and their most recent album called Time was released in January 2022. We’d still like to see the original five piece back together though.
6. NSYNC
NSYNC was another hugely successful boyband during the 1990s, made up of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass. The band sold over 70 million records in their seven-year career and are still known as one of the best-selling boybands in history. NSYNC last recorded new material over two decades ago, in 2002, and then went on indefinite hiatus. The five members have reunited occasionally, including when they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018. Timberlake arguably went on to have the most success alone and become a ten-time Grammy Award winner throughout his solo career. The other members have enjoyed varying successes over the years.
7. Destiny’s Child
Destiny's Child are known for their songs which promote female empowerment, and of course we all know it’s the band which launched the career of Beyoncé, along with her bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Their best known songs include Independent Women, Say My Name, Survivor and Bootylicious. After 11 years together they went on hiatus in 2001 to pursue solo careers. They reunited two years later and released their fifth, and final album, before splitting officially in 2006. Knowles-Carter, Rowland, and Williams have reunited several times, including at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and 2018 Coachella festival. All three members have had hugely successful solo musical careers.
8. Britney
Britney Spears was one of the most popular singers during the 1990s, so much so that she’s often referred to as the “Princess of Pop”. Her first two studio albums, Baby One More Time and Oops!... I Did It Again, are counted as two of the best-selling albums of all time. Her last album Glory was released in 2016, and three years after this she took an indefinite hiatus from music to get back at her family while she was under conservatorship. This conservatorship came to an end in Autumn 2021, and Spears began to release her first new songs in six years the following year including a duet with Elton John called Hold Me Closer which is a remake of John’s single Tiny Dancer. Fans would still love more new material regularly from Spears, as well as see her back on stage and going on tour, but considering she deleted her Instagram account earlier this year it would seem that the singer wishes to take a step back from the public eye.
