Is Apple down? Users report outage of iCloud, App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV
A major outage has seen key Apple services go offline
Apple users are reporting an outage of services on their devices.
The tech company’s products, such as iPhones and iPads, are reported to not be able to access key services such as iCloud, App Store and Maps.
But what is the update on the situation and have Apple said anything?
Here’s everything you need to know.
Is Apple down at the moment?
As of around 4.20pm this afternoon, Downdetector began reporting that users were finding outages with the App Store.
Most users who had issues were finding difficulty with downloading app from the platform.
Around the same times, reports were also made to the website that access to the iCloud service and Maps was also problematic.
Other services such as Find My iPhone, Apple Music and Apple News were all reported to have problems.
The issues appear to be present both in the UK and America, with users taking to Twitter to air their frustration at the outage.
However, not all users appear to be affected.
What has Apple said?
The California-based tech company has so far not made a statement on the outage to some of its key services.
While an official statement has not been made, Apple’s official website confirmed these reports, with its status page showing that 11 services were down.
Services such as the App Store and Apple TV+ are said to be “slow” or having “intermittent issues”.
It has also been reported that Apple’s internal corporate and retail systems are also down.
Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman said the outage was “limiting remote work and retail operations like product pick-ups and repairs.”
When will Apple services be back online?
Currently, there is no timescale for Apple’s service to come back online.
The company is keeping its status page updated with the latest developments.
