Heard’s appearance over the weekend is her first since her high-profile trial ended in June this year. Depp brought the case forward to sue Heard for $50 million for defamation in regards to a a story in the Washington Post in 2018.

In the story, Heard claimed that she was a survivor of domestic abuse following her relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean star, who she met in 2009 on the set of their film The Rum Diary.

While the actress spoke of her time as a girlfriend and wife during the Virginia trial, she spoke less so of her role as a mother.

She said: “I think no matter what, it will mean something. I did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth.”
