Amber Heard has been spotted spending quality time with her one-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige in Spain, despite escalating legal fees following her high-profile court case with ex-husband Johnny Depp.
The actress, 36, from Texas, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, welcomed their daughter Oonagh via surrogate in July 2021.
The pair have kept their daughter away from the public eye, however Heard was spotted playing with Oonagh in a playground alongside Bianca Butti and other friends in Palma de Mallorca.
Heard’s appearance over the weekend is her first since her high-profile trial ended in June this year. Depp brought the case forward to sue Heard for $50 million for defamation in regards to a a story in the Washington Post in 2018.
In the story, Heard claimed that she was a survivor of domestic abuse following her relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean star, who she met in 2009 on the set of their film The Rum Diary.
While the actress spoke of her time as a girlfriend and wife during the Virginia trial, she spoke less so of her role as a mother.
Speaking on the Today Show with Savannah Guthrie, Heard explained what she will tell Oonagh about the trial when she grows up.
She said: “I think no matter what, it will mean something. I did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth.”
The photos of Heard playing with Oonagh come as the actress continues to fight to get insurance to cover the $8 million she owes Depp in legal fees, after losing the court case.
According to the Daily Mail, Heard has recently changed lawyers to try and get two insurance firms to pay the remaining costs, including Kirk Pasch on her legal team.
On top of the money she owes her ex-husband, it is reported that she is still expected to pay $15 million to her entire legal representation which was headed by David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown.
Despite her financial crisis, Heard seemingly travelled to the Hamptons and Israel by jet, before arriving on the Spanish island.
