Niall will be of extraordinary help to the new talents on the NBC show after he rose to fame through coming third on the X Factor in 2010 alongside One Direction members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik.

The British group disbanded in 2016, but Niall is swapping his bandmates for a new panel of singers as he joins The Voice US coach Blake Shelton who has been on the show for 22 seasons.

Niall lines up with Grammy-award winning artists Chance the Rapper and Kelly Clarkson, who are signing up for the NBC show.

The three musical experts will replace the current coaches John Legend, Camilla Cabello and Shelton’s wife Gwen Stefani.

The Slow Hands star revealed the news in a cryptic Instagram post where he shared a single emoji of hands doing the peace sign, synonymous with The Voice’s logo, and tagged the Since You’ve Been Gone singer.

The three other judges posted similar images before NBC officially announced the coaching panel for the 2023 series.

People flooded the comment section with approval for the line-up and the new additions, with one saying, “I’m so excited to see Niall on the Voice,” while another added, “Niall is going to be amazing.”

A user responded to the post, “Blake, Kelly, Niall, Chance…what a line up,” as a fan of Niall tweeted: “I want to apply for The Voice just to meet Niall but I can’t even sing, and I’m absolutely not American.”
