Tesco Bank customers are experiencing issues with the bank’s mobile app this morning, with thousands unable to access their account information.

Users began reporting issues at around 6am this morning (September 23), with more and more reports coming into service status tracker DownDetector.co.uk throughout the morning. The company has not yet commented on the IT issues plaguing customers.

Most users are noting issued with their credit card account, but some other have noted issued with the overall mobile banking app or even logging in. One concerned customer said on X (formerly Twitter): “Hey @tescobankhelp I can't log into mobile banking. What's going on?

“@downdetector has almost 300 reports of people having problems this morning. No update from you guys as yet. Please advise.”

Another said: “I’ve had an error logging into two accounts today.” One user added: “ I've not been able to get on all morning, want to make a credit card payment.”

Tesco Bank has not yet addressed concerns, with an estimated fix time currently unknown. It comes after thousands of customers at Santander were locked out of their apps this morning.

A glitch in the Santander mobile banking app saw 2,300 user report issues. However, they were soon able to access their accounts as normal service resumed within a few hours.

Tesco Bank has been contacted for comment.
