Heavy-hitting Deontay Wilder and undefeated cruiserweight star Jai Opetaia will clash in Cardiff

Two huge names have been added to the undercard of the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight at the Principality Stadium, in Cardiff.

Heavy-hitting American Deontay Wilder and undefeated Australian cruiserweight star Jai Opetaia will go toe to toe on December 11, adding an extra dimension to what will be an incredible night for British fight fans.

Southpaw Opetaia is stepping up to heavyweight for the first time, having been unbeaten at cruiserweight.

Even though Wilder is, at 41 years old, a decade older than Opetaia, he still packs a tremendous punch.

Wilder is a very dangerous fighter and of his 45 professional wins, 43 came by technical knockout.

It promises to be a truly enthralling contest, pitting the cruiserweight campion taking a chance against a heavyweight who remains one of the biggest punchers in the division.

Though general sale tickets sold out in a flash, there is still a chance to get premium tickets for the show from £249 via official hospitality ticketing outlet Seat Unique here.

It comes with pre-fight access to Ten Mill Lane bar, close to the Principality Stadium, with complimentary beer and single house spirits.

This is only slightly more expensive than the tickets currently available via Ticketmaster where the cheapest options are currently £218.30 for verified resale tickets.

There are more than a dozen VIP packages available via Seat Unique, ranging from the aforementioned Central Cardiff Hospitality with Premium Seating deal, up to the Front Row Inner Ringside package that weighs in at a hefty £17,995.

These are not official ticket outlets but allow fans to sell to other fans but official outlets such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation sometimes forbid the transfer of tickets so check terms and conditions.

Nevertheless, Viagogo, StubHub and Vivid Tickets all offer guarantees to users of their sites so fans are protected.

The cheapest ticket prices for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua are currently: £164 on Viagogo here; £139.95 on StubHub and £141.68 on Vivid Seats.

For fight fans who want to see the bout in the comfort of their own homes, it will be screened live on Netflix with no additional pay-per-view charge which is a blessing.

“Undefeated cruiserweight world champion Jai Opetaia is moving up to heavyweight for this fight to face former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

“Wilder’s one of the most dangerous punchers in the sport, and Opetaia is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in boxing, undefeated. And here’s an interesting fact for everybody: these two guys have a combined total of 67 knockouts.”
