This is everything you need to know about what happened during the interview.

What has True Geordie said about Tyson Fury’s fight with Derek Chisora?

In August 2022, Geordie posted a video on his Youtube channel titled Why Fans Are Tired Of Tyson Fury.

During the video the YouTuber criticised Fury’s proposal to fight Chisora, describing the fight as an “easy pay day” for Fury and an “insult” to the fans. He also criticised Fury by claiming that he is “full of contradictions” and “unreliable” when he speaks about something.

In October 2022, following the announcement of Fury’s third fight with Chisora, Geordie posted a follow up video titled Why NOBODY Wants Fury vs Chisora 3. During the video he called the fight a “waste of Tyson’s career” and claimed that the match is an absolute “bore fest” for the boxing public due to the simplicity of Fury’s previous victories over Chisora.

Fury was invited to appear on Geordie’s podcast on Sunday 30 October. During the interview, Fury was asked a series of hard hitting questions regarding the breakdown of negotiations between himself and Anthony Joshua. Geordie also questioned the decision for Fury to face Chisora and spoke about the gulf in quality between the two fighters.

The Gypsy King hit back at the criticism of Chisora and claimed it was disrespectful for people to undermine his achievements in the sport. He also claimed that the fight would attract more intrigue than many of the opponents in the top 15 ranked heavyweights.

Fury said: “No matter what you say, or what people like you want to say about Derek Chisora, he’s achieved more in boxing and in fighting than 10 men like you could ever achieve.

“So I’m not going to let you sit here and slate somebody who’s fought the best fighters of his era just because he’s lost a few fights. It is what it is. I’ll be fighting Chisora. And if you don’t want to watch it then please don’t.”

Fury ended the interview by saying: “I think you’re a t***** you little t*** pot and I won’t be doing any more interviews with you.”

He later went on to hurl a series of insults at the presenter whilst struggling to end the call.

How have people reacted?

After the interview, Geordie joked that he was glad he did the interview with Fury on a video call and not in person as it could have been a “painful end” to his life.

The video is currently trending at number one on YouTube and amassed over 553,000 views in the first 16 hours. In the comments section a number of people have praised the video. One user commented: “I respect Brian for actually standing up to Tyson and speaking for most of us fans.”
