A Kate and William announce move to new home Forest Lodge, will they celebrate Christmas there?

Last Christmas, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children attended a Christmas Day service at Sandringham.
After a torrid 2024 where the Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January and then told the nation in March that she was receiving treatment after being diagnosed with cancer, she joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, along with her husband, the Prince of Wales and three children for the annual royal Christmas Day service at Sandringham.
2024 had also proved to be a difficult year for King Charles as at the beginning of February, Buckingham Palace announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer. The statement read: “During The King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted.
“Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.
“Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.
“The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure.
“He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
“His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
In January of this year, Catherine, Princess of Wales revealed in an emotional return to the Royal Marsden Hospital in west London where she underwent treatment for cancer, that she was in remission. She shared a post on social media, which read: "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.” She signed off the post with her initial C.
After recovering from cancer at their home Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, it has now been announced that the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will be moving to Forest Lodge in Windsor. A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed to The Sun that “The Wales family will move house later this year.”
When will Kate and William move?
The Sun reported that “Kate has already been spotted picking new furniture to kit out the new abode, including a 24-seater table.” The Princess of Wales may be looking for a 24-seater table as she is planning to host Christmas this year in their new abode. The family will be reportedly completing their relocation before Christmas so should hopefully be settled for the festive period.
