The FIFA World Cup 2022 is rapidly approaching and ITV Sport will be at the centre of all the action from Qatar.

Who will host the ITV World Cup 2022 coverage?

Former BBC 5 live presenter Mark Pougatch will be the lead anchor for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. Pougatch replaced Adrian Chiles as the main football presenter on ITV in 2015. The 54-year-old has also fronted ITV’s coverage of the Six Nations Rugby Championship along with BT’s Sport Score show.

Laura Woods

Laura Woods has also been announced as part of the ITV squad for their coverage of the FIFA World Cup. Woods is best known by sports fans for her role as a regular pitch side reporter on Sky Sports from 2018 until 2022. Woods joined Dazn in 2022 and hosts the channel’s coverage of boxing and the women’s Champions League. She is also a regular presenter on the TalkSPORT breakfast show from Monday to Wednesday each week.

Seema Jaswal

Seema Jaswal will return to ITV for a second World Cup having previously been a host during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Jaswal hosts a number of Premier League programmes worldwide including flagship programmes such as Kick Off and Fanzone.

Who will be the commentators for ITV’s World Cup 2022 coverage?

Sam Matterface will continue to be the lead commentator of ITV. Matterface became the main commentator for England games back in 2020 and has previously worked on TalkSport.

Clive Tyldesley is also set to commentate on a number of games throughout the duration of the tournament. Tyldesley is one of the most recognisable voices in football and was formerly the channels main commentator for England and Champions League games from 1996 until 2020.
