Actor confirms exit from Hollyoaks amid cast cull.

Hollyoaks actor Jonas Khan best known for playing has confirmed he has quit the Channel 4 soap and apparently already filmed final exit scenes. It appears no one is safe in Hollyoaks after Jonas becomes the latest in a strip of actors quitting the show. Lime Pictures announced in February that the soap would be cut back from five episodes to just three per week. Due to the cutbacks the cast would also be culled.

Lily Best who played Lizzie Chen-Williams confirmed her exit after her character was killed in Wednesday night's episode.  Hollyoaks veteran Stephanie Waring who plays Cindy Cunningham revealed her character had been axed from the show after 28 years.

Several more actors including Jamie Lomas, Jamelia and Owen Warner have also left or will be leaving the soap this year. Hollyoaks bosses revealed that in the coming Autumn the Chester based soap would time-hop forward a year to hopefully explain why so many characters  have vanished.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday from 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day from 7:00pm.
