It’s a bittersweet start to the week for BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, with confirmation she’s broken up from Ahn Bo-hyun, yet possibly cast in a new film adaptation

The rumours making the rounds on social media regarding BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and her break-up with boyfriend Ahn Bo-hyun have all but been confirmed in a short, but succinct post by her current agency YG Entertainment. The agency released a statement that simply read "That’s correct." It looks as if that 'Rosé Curse' has struck BLACKPINK once again...

Jisoo and Bo-hyun had only been dating for two months, after the public acknowledgement that the two were in a relationship once again by YG Entertainment. Reliable information as to why the pair have broken up remains to be available, however, could this lead to speculation about the future of BLACKPINK as soloists, given the current interest in the group from US record label Columbia Records

It’s not all bad news for Jisoo however, with Soompi reporting that industry insiders are stating that the BLACKPINK member has been cast in a role for an upcoming adaptation of the web-based novel ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ by Sing Shong. Once again, YG Entertainment was quick to put out a statement addressing the rumours, stating that “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo received an offer [to star in] ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ and is reviewing [the offer] positively.”

The novel follows the story of Kim Dok Ja, whose world suddenly changes into that of the web novel he read. In June, Ahn Hyo Seop was said to be in negotiations for the role of Kim Dok Ja, the lead character, while there are reports that Lee Min Ho has been offered the part of Yoo Joong Hyuk, the original main character of the web novel that Kim Dok Ja reads. Jisoo is also reportedly in talks for the role of Lee Ji Hye, a student mentored by Yoo Joong Hyuk.

Additionally, there have been reports that Jung Sung Il and Park Ho San, along with Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, and Nana, have been offered the roles of Yoo Sang Ah, Lee Hyun Sung, and Jung Hee Won, respectively.
