‘Love Island’ 2024 star Ronnie Vint already has a close connection to the ITV dating show because he’s best friends with former islander Olivia Attwood Dack.

Semi-professional footballer Ronnie Vint is making a name for himself in the ‘Love Island’ villa.

The 27-year-old is no stranger to the limelight, owing partly to his job and also the fact that he calls fellow footballer Bradley Dack his best friend. Dack also happens to be married to Olivia Attwood Dack - who shot to fame on the ITV dating show in 2017 before finding love with her husband.

Vint, who was best man at the pair’s wedding, said in a pre-show interview with ITV: “ He and Olivia are a big part of my life. I call Olivia my big little sister, she always looks out for me.” No doubt Olivia, who has gone on to become a hugely successful reality TV personality following her stint on the show, where she came third place alongside Chris Hughes, has been giving her bestie plenty of tips.

He’s currently coupled up with Jess White, a 25-year-old retailer manager from Stockport, Manchester. Other contestants from the original line-up include rugby player Ciaran Davies, make-up artist Samantha Kenny, model Patsy Field, accounts manager Nicole Samuel and dancer and personal shopper Harriett Blackmore.

When he’s not in the ‘Love Island’ villa, Vint, who is from South East London, is a centre-back for Lewes Football Club. He signed up to the club in June 2023. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with Dartford from youth to senior level and following two loan spells with Dulwich Hamlet, he joined them permanently in January 2022. He had played most of his career at National League South level.

Vint said he is “a fun, bubbly person looking for a good time”. He went on: “I’m confident that I’ll get on really well with everyone and can hopefully find a nice girl whilst I’m at it.” He went on: “I want someone that's family orientated, caring and career minded. Lookwise, I like blondes with nice boobs but am partial to a brunette too.” His celebrity crush is ‘Barbie’ actress Margot Robbie.

Vint explained that he’s had two serious relationships in the past but more recently have enjoyed being single and doing his “own thing” as he’s been focussed on my football career. He added: “I’ve got to the age where I want to find the right person I can build a life with.” At the moment, howver, the love of his life is mayonaise. he said: “I love Mayonnaise, I have it on everything I eat, even a roast dinner. The only thing I don’t have it on is cereal.” He even admitted: “I’m fun and bubbly but miserable if I’ve not got my mayo.” Let’s hope the ‘Love Island’ bosses have added plenty of mayonaise to the islander’s shopping list then. . . Although Vint has said he isn’t the greatest cook. For that reason he’d love to see celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay make an appearance on the show “to make me some nice food because all I can make is a toastie”. He’d also like Ricky Gervais to enter as a guest because he thinks he’d be “good for a laugh” because he’s a “funny guy”. Vint can be found on Instagram at @ronnievint.

‘Love Island’ continues every Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2. Spin-off show ‘Aftersun’ also airs every Sunday at 10pm on ITV2.
