This meant that Jason couldn't grieve properly for his wife, who he was married with for 13 years. Cindy Mackenzie had a terrible battle with mental health issues, which sadly acted as the main reason why she committed suicide. Due to Jason's drinking problem after Cindy's death, he then stopped his drinking problem, which allowed him to grieve properly for his late wife.
